Hello, I am Sonia Ledo and I am honored to have taken first place in the California State Assembly District 15 primary race. Now we enter the general runoff election on November 5th, a crucial election that will determine the direction of California.

Unlike my opponent, I am not a career politician. Instead, I bring a fresh perspective and a genuine commitment to solving our most urgent problems and serving the best interests of our district.

Professionally, I am a bilingual self-employed real estate professional with a degree in legal studies. As a single mother of four adult sons, including autistic twins, I understand the importance of compassion, resilience, and determination in facing life's challenges.

My personal experiences have shaped my perspective and drive to advocate for policies that support families like mine, and I am committed to being a voice for all members of our community.

I am dedicated to making tough decisions to improve our quality of life by addressing with policy our increased crime, taxes and cost of living that continues to drive people and business away. I will represent you with fairness, transparency, and a strong work ethic on all issues ensuring that the voices of our community are heard and valued.

My journey is deeply rooted in the ethical values instilled by my immigrant parents who left corrupt and oppressive governments in Nicaragua and Cuba to build a better life here in California. They came here with NOTHING and worked hard for the American Dream. With limited education, my mother single-handedly raised 5 children while working as a Union Laborer at the See's Candies factory in South San Francisco. My father became a proud United States Army Veteran. Both are proud Naturalized American Citizens. From a young age, I learned the value of hard work, good ethics, and working collaboratively.

As a proud native of San Francisco and a resident of Contra Costa County for over three decades, I am deeply connected to the diverse communities that make up our district in Antioch, Crockett, Concord, Pleasant Hill, Martinez, Pittsburg, Brentwood, Clayton and other unincorporated areas.
